The BK16 outdoor side table in untreated teak, for Carl Hansen, is a design that over time acquires a wonderful patina.
Kjær sees furniture construction from a purely technical perspective, interacting with modern architecture and creating the furniture for people, to be used. The outdoor collection by Bodil Kjaer for Carl Hansen offers the warmth and comfort derived from the craftsmanship and purity of noble materials.
The BK16 side table was designed by Danish architect and teacher Bodil Kjær in 1959 for Carl Hansen. Part of a collection of furniture that can be installed both indoors and outdoors.
It is a beautifully designed product in solid teak, with its cubist-inspired shapes, with excellent quality and clean, geometric lines.
Perfectly proportioned to adapt to the height of the armchair in the collection, the BK16 side table is handcrafted and its simplicity is surprising, the same as the entire BK series, Indoor-Outdoor.
