The BK12 two-seater sofa is designed by Danish professor and architect Bodil Kjær who is now produced by Carl Hansen and Son.
Kjær has contributed significantly to the dissemination of the principles of Danish modern design through his travels, gathering knowledge and promoting the relationship between design and architecture.
The BK12 outdoor sofa is reissued in untreated teak wood.
In 1959, Danish architect Bodil Kjær launched her BK series, suitable for indoor and outdoor, which includes the comfortable BK12 two-seater sofa. Made from solid teak with a mesh seat and backrest, the sofa displays the same geometric sensibility that underlies the rest of the collection.
This sofa is enhanced by the armrests, legs and support crossbars, which transform together to form elegant geometric shapes.
Conceived as an architectural element, with proportions designed accordingly, the BK12 sofa is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
In addition to this two-seater sofa, Kjær's Indoor-Outdoor series includes a chair, a side table, a dining table, an armchair, a swing sofa and a lounger. All seats, chairs and sofas can be supplied with weatherproof cushions.
Material: Untreated solid teak wood.
Available option with upholstered cushion: Canvas 2 fabric / 5453. Composition: 90% new wool, 10% nylon.
