The BK13 rocking sofa is a design by Bodil Kjær for Carl Hansen & Søn. There is also a version with a teak wood structure: BK17. Ideal to combine with the BK11 armchairs and the rest of the BK collection by Carl Hansen.
This series of outdoor swings in wood bring warmth and elegance to any indoor or outdoor environment. You can also increase its comfort by adding an optional seat and back cushion.
The BK13 rocking sofa was designed in 1959 by Bodil Kjær as part of a series of beautifully designed, architecturally inspired indoor and outdoor furniture. Like the rest of the series, the Danish architect looked to Cubism for inspiration to give it the precise and aerodynamic shape of the rocking sofa, which is made of solid teak.
Designed to withstand the elements, the swivel sofa also offers great comfort, suspended from knotted ropes for a relaxing rocking movement. Suitable for indoors and outdoors, it can be supplied with cushions as well as an A-shaped frame for easy suspension.
Material: Untreated solid teak wood.
Available option with upholstered cushion: Canvas 2 fabric / 5453. Composition: 90% new wool, 10% nylon.
