The Crate bench is a perfect seat for your outdoor table. This work by Dutch architect and designer Gerrit Rietveld expands the Crate collection by including an outdoor bench with optional seat cushion. This collection was originally designed in 1934 in order to be able to reuse surplus wooden shipping boxes.
Crate Dining Bench features balanced and precise proportions that allow you to minimize production costs and optimize your assembly process. This bench has a slightly sloping back with a simple overall aesthetic that reflects the designer's architectural style.
The Crate Dining Bench from HAY, made of solid pine, has a water-based lacquered finish in different color options. The Crate Bench adapts to a variety of outdoor environments and can be complemented with an optional seat cushion for added comfort.
