The Crate Lounge Chair, designed by Dutch architect and designer Gerrit Rietveld, expands the Crate collection with this outdoor-friendly sofa. Originally designed in 1934 to reuse surplus wooden shipping boxes, the Crate Collection has been relaunched in a Rietveld Originals x HAYcollaboration, respecting the original design.
Crate Lounge Sofa features precise and balanced proportions that seek to minimize production costs and optimize your assembly process. Its slightly sloping backrest next to its seat with armrests and its simple aesthetics reflect the designer's architectural style. This outdoor sofa offers cushions to increase its comfort.
The Crate Lounge Sofa from HAY, made of solid pine, has a water-based lacquered finish in different color options, the Crate sofa is suitable for a large number of outdoor environments and can be complemented with optional seat cushions in selected fabrics for added comfort.
