Floor Light A810 was created by Alvar Aalto in 1959 for the National Pension Institute in Helsinki.
This popular A810 floor lamp, designed by Alvar Aalto for Artek, features two hand-riveted shades, each formed by delicate strips of lacquered metal, presenting a striking combination of lines and curves that allow an interesting interaction of direct and indirect light. The stand is finished in hand-stitched black leather, while the top has a polished brass or stainless steel collar that are its two possible finishes.
