PK52 Professor Desk emerged in 1955 as a solution to the lack of tables for both teachers and students of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, based on his experience, Poul Kjærholm, a design that exposed the designer's skill with steel and wood materials. The top rests on metal ferrules that separate it from the structure and give a light and dynamic image to the desk. Although the PK52 desk is designed for work, it also works perfectly as a dining table.
In the absence of tables for the teaching staff of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and through his knowledge of cabinetmaking, Poul Kjærholm designed the desk of Professor PK52. This lightweight and dynamic desk is available in a variety of finishes, but the laminate finish is reversible, allowing one side to be used for work and the other as a dining table. In addition, it can include a solid wood drawer and features a more compact PK52A variant that was designed for the students of the Academy.
