Lamp designed by Verner Panton for &tradition.
Verner Panton, 1959.
Topan Pendant VP6.
The Topan lamp designed in 1959 is the first Verner Panton lamp to be mass-produced. Sometimes the simplest things are the most enduring and timeless. It was originally designed for the Astoria Hotel and Restaurant in Trondheim, Norway, where Panton used its geometry and textile designs for floors, walls and ceilings in order to give the room a uniform image. Topans hung everywhere, dividing large rooms into smaller, more intimate spaces.
The production of the Topan lamp is done from a single piece of aluminum using a special set of tools and highly skilled craftsmen who have decades of experience in producing the Topan.
