Louis Poulsen launches this new series of lamps created in collaboration with the Swedish designer and graphic artist Clara von Zweigbergk.

The Cirque luminaire provides a soft, glare-free, downward light by means of the white lacquered interior reflector, it is a vibrant design with lush colors.

She defines them as follows: "I don't care at all if, sitting in their kitchens, people look up and start thinking about hot air balloons and carousels," when asked to describe her new series of lamps.

The series was developed in cooperation with Louis Poulsen, inspired by a trip to the Tivoli Gardens which are one of the biggest attractions in the centre of modern-day Copenhagen. Tivoli is full of carousels, candy makers, and Ferris wheels. When an object spins very fast, the colors blend together and end up being perceived as horizontal bands of color. All these prints resulted in a vibrant design that unites unconventional colours and shapes in a series of truly innovative lamps that add charisma to their surroundings, both in daylight and when switched on.

These lamps are equally suitable for restaurants and bars, kitchens and dining rooms. A downward diffused light is reflected from the matte, white interior of the lamp, which is dazzling when hung at normal height.

Cirque is available in three color combinations and in three sizes: Ø150 mm, Ø220 mm and Ø380 mm. With an E27 luminaire, the lamps can be used with the full range of LED light sources currently available, allowing complete freedom to choose the light source that ensures the best colour reproduction and light temperature in the room.

It is available in three unconventional color combinations - one very colorful and the other two slightly subdued. When hung individually, Cirque lamps add a dash of color to any room, while the final decorative effect is achieved by suspending groups of Cirque lamps together as an element creatively integrated into interior design.

Made of aluminum, Cirque is a robust lamp designed to be used in kitchens, children's bedrooms, bars and restaurants. Due to its direct downward distribution of light, it is particularly suitable for hanging above tables or in groups hung in a corner. Cirque is easy to clean, decorative when not on, and provides extremely atmospheric lighting when turned on.
