The Pelican table from Finn Juhl stands out for its simple and simple lines that form a very minimalist round coffee table but with a great visual impact. Its robustness is combined with delicacy.
It is ideal for your living room, place it next to your sofa, armchair or armchair. A side table of 10!
The House of Finn Juhl firm since 2014 has been in charge of producing the Pelican coffee table, originally designed in 1940 by the architect Finn Juhl.
The only known version of the Pelican Table was exhibited with two Pelican chairs at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition in 1940. As far as we know, it never happened again. Both the Pelican armchair and the Pelican table are exceptional examples of Finn Juhl 's spiritual kinship with modern art.
There are no sketches or drawings of the coffee table, only a photograph of the exhibition table along with the armchairs. When the original table suddenly reappeared at auction in Paris, almost 75 years later, the precise dimensions and measurements of the table could finally be determined.
Today, House of Finn Juhl produces the Pelican table in different finishes, including oak, walnut, Oregon pine or painted black.
