The France Chair by Finn Juhl was created at the designer's most successful moment, in the 1950s, when Finn Juhl was working a lot internationally thanks to his association with the Danish manufacturer France & Son, which owned a company that would become extremely successful.
This model was originally designed for the American market, although initially it was delivered disassembled, as it was the way to work and drive the company to achieve the great success they obtained. Currently the chair is delivered fully assembled and assembled.
Although the chair was originally designed for industrial production, it still has the characteristic design details of Finn Juhl; The seat and backrest lift off the frame, while the armrests have the iconic paper knife detail also found on the iconic 45 chair.
The France chair is available in oak, smoked oak, oak or walnut painted black with hand-stitched upholstery in fabric or leather.
