The Amoebe is a lounge-style armchair that perfectly embodies the pop spirit of the early seventies. Thanks to its entire surface is upholstered and its flexible backrest shell, it offers a high level of comfort.

The Amoebe armchair designed by Verner Panton in 1970 and produced by Vitra, has organic shapes and is upholstered in striking colors.
Its padding is soft and its shapes encourage you to snuggle up and relax. Several armchairs can be placed together forming an infinite sofa.
Amoebe was designed for the Visona 2 exhibition of 1970 held within the scope of the Cologne fair of that same year where a wonderful fantasy landscape was shown. The resulting room installation, consisting of vibrant colors and organic shapes, is one of the highlights of Panton's work. In terms of design history, this installation is considered one of the major spatial designs of the second half of the 20th century.
