Layers 2 - Nanimarquina

Nanimarquina presents its new collection of Kilim rugs called Capas. Its aesthetics and design focuses on the creation and use of different shades through layers and shadows, with the idea of generating depth. Each rug has a main color, a complementary tone, and a darker gradient in the composition creates the effect of a shadow cast on the floor.

The Layers 2 rug is very easy to integrate and adapt to any space. The designer's goal was to create a simple, lightweight rug that had a casual feel, while also being complex in the use of colors and depth formation

Nanimarquina and Mathias Hahn studied the Kilim weaving technique and developed a new type of loose structure that allows the colors of the warp and weft to be mixed. Normally the warp on a kilim is invisible. In the case of Capas, defining a different density of warp has allowed it to flourish, providing a visual texture where the colors present interfere with each other throughout the rug.
