Toio Lamp - Flos

The Toio lamp is a classic designed in the 60s that for the creation of this lamp a 300 watt car headlight specially imported from the United States in the sixties was used. The Toio light source suggests the type of lighting and the lamp components determine its shape.

This floor lamp that provides indirect light was born from assembling existing industrial objects, modifying their functions and giving them new applications. The universal transformer, necessary to compensate for the difference between the light source (125 volts) and the European lines (220 volts) is visible on the metal base and serves as a counterweight to stabilize the lamp.

A metal structure serves as a base, it has a chrome-plated metal stem equipped as a fishing rod with metal loops to hold the external electrical cables; a fixing screw allows the height of the stem to be adjusted (from 170 to 200 cm); The remaining wire is rewound onto two thin plates. The light source has a special fixture on top made of two curved metal bits welded to a metal ring.

Indirect light floor lamp. Base in cut and curved steel and structure in steel profiles, both painted in different colors. Foot with hexagonal section in nickel-plated brass. The telescopic movement of the rod allows the height of the device to be adjusted. The electronic dimmer on the cable allows the gradual regulation of the light intensity.
