Luminator floor lamp designed by Achille Castiglioni and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos, an Italian designer lighting brand, with many lighting classics such as the Luminator in its catalogue.
The Luminator lamp is one of the pieces that can be classified as classics of lighting, one of the most outstanding of the mid-century era, it has a pure and discreet design, both its presence and its indirect light gives a touch of distinction to the room where it is placed. Every bit is reminiscent of the avant-garde approach to design in the post-war era. The most striking thing is the lack of ornamentation.
Simplified to the essentials, this torch lamp consists only of a stem with a tripod base. However, that's exactly what makes it unique and attractive. The unmistakable aesthetic of mid-century design was brilliantly presented with this classically designed piece. The body of the lamp is created in sintered iron, using a traditional process, and then coated with anthracite-colored enamel. This design classic has been a hit since its birth.
It provides direct lighting that was focused on the ceiling and from there, it is reflected throughout the space as bright, warm indirect light. In this way, the Luminator floor lamp provides a soft and pleasant light for a relaxing and entertaining meeting in living rooms and the dining room, being also a great option for indirect lighting in the bedroom.
Luminator is the creation of two design legends. This eye-catching lamp was born in 1954 from the creative minds of Achille Castiglioni and his brother, Pier Giacomo Castiglioni.
