Alexander Girard, 1952.

Wooden Doll Little Devil.

The Wooden Dolls family continues to grow, this time with a little devil. The new Little Devil may not be the most imposing of wooden dolls in terms of size, but with its bright red color, mischievousness and cheeky expression, it creates a devilish and charming eye-catcher.

Although the essential point of his heterogeneous work was textile design, he made countless designs, highlighting these nice little dolls, the Wooden Dolls, being partly decorative elements and partly toys, which he made exclusively for personal use and enjoyment.

Too playful simply to admire? Too admirable to play simply? In fact, simply perfect in both cases these wooden dolls by Alexander Girard.

His intense relationship with the popular art of South America, Asia and Eastern Europe was a primary source of inspiration.

Hand-painted solid fir wood.

The dolls are supplied with brochures and packed in a high-quality patterned wooden box.
