Miguel Milá's Scarecrow tells that his wife scolded him when he took out the fly swatter, so he told her: "I'll make an elegant fly swatter so you can't criticize me", and so he did, joining a bamboo cane and a piece of leather that Milá made in his workshop, and that he gave to some of his friends. "Every time I am invited to a house, I bring them a shovel." Only a few currently own one of these flyswatters made manually by the author.
Isist Atelier now produces this very Mediterranean piece in the original leather finish. Milá believes that the simple presence of the shovel has a deterrent effect on flies, so most of the time she only uses it to scare them.
It is served in a beautiful gift box designed for this product.
For this fly scarecrow, Isist Atelierhas taken care of all the details from the fantastic packaging, to the artisan finish of the product.
Miguel Milá represents Spanish design like no one else and is a member of the generation of design pioneers of the 50s.
A case that houses the object following its own shape, the closed box gives a glimpse of its contents, it is the synthesis of the object itself. Simple and honest materials that do not hide their structure, playing with the contrast between roughness and purity.
