Vitra is the contemporary design furniture firm tasked with producing some of Jean Prouvé's classic designs.
On this occasion we present the Trapèze table , originally created in the 50s for the Cité Universitaire de Antony, near Paris, coincides in time with the design of the Antony armchair, which is named after this location.
The name of the table refers to the unmistakable shape of its legs, which are constructed of formed sheet steel. Together with the thick, oblique edge edges, they reinforce the solid appearance of the structure.
It is produced with high-pressure laminated board with black surface coating. The base (legs and crossbar) are made of formed steel sheet, with black powder coating.
