The Egg Table by Fritz Hansen is an original design by Arne Jacobsen from 1952. The Egg table returns for the 150th anniversary of the Danish firm with an elegant combined finish of chrome structure and FSC wood top with walnut finish.
This egg-shaped table with three legs is a very versatile element that can be used as a dining table or as a desk, a complement to the Egg table are the Ant chairs from Fritz Hansen.
The Arne Jacobsen-designed Egg table was first introduced in 1952 and was in production for Fritz Hansen until 1960. Later, in 2002 for what would have been the designer's 100th birthday, a limited edition Fritz Hansen launched along with three Ant chairs.
Arne Jacobsen'sarchitectural designs in the 50s were characterized by angles and minimalism, in contrast to these angles and straight lines his furniture design was oriented towards organic lines, integrating the curves that we can find in nature. With these characteristics, Egg Table was born in 1952, an elliptical table in the shape of an egg formed by a tubular chrome steel structure and a wooden top, which was initially made of teak and rosewood, FSC with a walnut finish.
The Egg table can comfortably include three Ant three-legged chairs , although you can incorporate more without sacrificing comfort. A very versatile table that works equally well as a dining table, as a casual kitchen in small spaces or even as a work table for home office. Egg will be a contemporary piece that will raise the level of the environment in which it is included.
