Babel is a design from 1971 that is handcrafted in alabaster. Her sculptural body is reminiscent of the figurines that tourists bought when they arrived in our country in the 70s. An ideal choice to set the mood for a living room space, an office shelf, the hallway console or the bedroom!
The Babel lamp, produced entirely in alabaster, a mineral considered at the time of its design as a degrading material, used to produce the horrific kitsch figurines bought by the first tourists who arrived in our country at the beginning of the 70s. A young and provocative group of artists and architects, including Angel Jové, began to plant the seeds of what, after the Spanish democracy of 1977, modern nightlife bars began to appear en masse. Due to their artisanal process, no two units hay the same, but they are all a lucid manifesto to conversation at night. A monumental and very striking lamp. Suitable for indoor use only.
