AIM Lamp - Flos

AIM pendant lamp is an artistic object as a pendant lamp: The AIM by Flos, designed by brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, questions two basic fundamentals of design in lighting.

The first and fundamental is the geometric center of the light point: the lamps are usually hung mainly in the center of the room, with the AIM lamp this does not matter, since through its long cable they can be placed at any point, at different heights and direct the light to any point. The second is to break with the assumption that the cable is only there to be hidden: this lamp is presented as a forest of cables with impetuous lines and function as aesthetics.

The lamp head can be fixed diagonally adjustable to the desired height - complete freedom allows for unique combinations. The installations, which emerge in this way, remind us more of works of art than of lighting design. The direct, clear light is suitable for living rooms as well as for illuminating individual objects.

Aluminum body shaped by rotation and painted with liquid paint, diffuser in photo-etched optical polycarbonate. Photo-etched ABS internal reflector. Adjustable body. Direct power supply from the mains. The LED is adjustable with a Flos approved "Triac for Led" type dimmer. Flos does not respond in the event of incorrect installation of the electrical connection system. The useful length of the cable is 9 meters. Consequently, the lamp can be suspended 3 meters from the ceiling. Available in multiple rosette with the possibility of connecting up to 5 devices.

There is another AIM SWITCH version (cable + plug), with ceiling hanging piece, wall plug and dimmer/switch on the cable.
