The End of Gufram: An Irreverent Design Icon by Toiletpaper, in 2014. Toiletpaper is the art and design studio led by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari, who launched The End, a piece of furniture that captures the provocative and ironic essence of both firms. This design epitaph is not only a functional seat, but a visual statement loaded with black humor that breaks with the conventions of contemporary furniture.
The End is presented in the form of a tombstone with eroded edges and finishes that simulate a stone worn by time. This piece is made of Guflac, Gufram's patented polyurethane material, which allows for the molding of robust and durable pieces, while offering a soft and velvety texture.
