The exclusive Chieftain sofa is a product handcrafted in walnut wood and hand-upholstered in the best quality leather. Its shape and complexity make this sofa a true work of art. An exclusive design within reach of the most select and refined tastes.
The architect and industrial designer Finn Juhl together with cabinetmaker Niels Vodder presented the Chieftain sofa together with the impressive and exclusive Chieftain chair in 1949.
It should be noted that although the Chieftain Chair was put into production immediately, as far as we know, only a single issue of the Chieftain Sofa was produced. It remained in a prototype and was never commercialized. At the Dinaarca Design Museum in Copenhagen, the sofa is still part of the museum's permanent collection of modern Danish furniture.
Today, since 2013, this extraordinary piece of furniture has been made in a very exclusive handmade version in walnut wood.
The sofa is upholstered by hand in Denmark with only the best quality extra-large leathers.
