PK25™ is an armchair designed by Poul Kjærholm for his final project at the Copenhagen School of Arts and Crafts, currently produced by Fritz Hansen.
This armchair has a minimalist design that combines the industrial world and nature, generating a continuous structure of brushed and bent stainless steel and a seat made of braided and tensioned natural rope
The PK25 armchair or Element armchair is an original design by Poul Kjærholm for the final project of the Copenhagen School of Arts and Crafts in 1951.™
In this design we see again Poul Kjærholm's characteristic interest in industrial materials, specifically stainless steel. PK25™ is composed of a continuous bent stainless steel structure and a braided rope seat. In this way, the designer insists on the contrast and union of the industrial world and nature, resulting in an elegant and comfortable armchair.
