Grand Relax & Ottoman - Vitra

The Grand Relax armchair is visually compact, with perfect proportions and long armrests that enhance comfort giving a feeling of security, reclining, combined with unusual comfort.

Aesthetically, it is striking that it is extremely discreet and of course classic. It has been designed to be upholstered in leather.

The cushions on both the seat and the back are soft and give you maximum comfort, always returning to their original shape.

The seat and backrest have a synchronised movement in such a way that they both move independently. It also has a control knob to adjust the resistance of the mechanism and lock the backrest at any angle.

The Grand Relax Armchair is mounted on a four-spoke aluminum base, being able to rotate 360°.

As an accessory, it has a matching ottoman that can be used as a footrest or as an additional seat.

In the design of the Grand Relax armchair, the lower half of the outer backrest shell is striking, which is upholstered in embossed suede leather and forms a kind of protection that envelops the user, defining the perimeter of this armchair. The combination of split leather and Premium leather creates a contrast between the exterior and interior and exterior of the armchair. Split leather is also used to cover the lower structure of the seat and ottoman.

Characteristics:

Seat/frame: moulded polyurethane foam with plastic frame and integrated synchronised mechanism with locking device.

Seat height: 432 mm or 482 mm.

Base: four-spoke swivel base in cast, cast or powder-coated aluminium.

Seat cushion: cushion with air chamber filled with polyurethane foam rods and fiber balls.

Back cushion and cervical cushion: cushion with air chamber filled with polyurethane foam cubes and a mixture of feathers and goose down.

Note: The backrest shell, the lower seat structure and the ottoman and the backrest resistance adjustment lever are upholstered in Forte Leather split leather (decorative).

Note: The basic version determines the finish of the other metal parts (mechanism control lever, resistance adjustment lever cover).

Ottoman: MDF panel covered with polyurethane foam and polyester fiber; Cushion with air chamber filled with polyurethane foam rods and fiber balls.

Base: Four-spoke non-rotating base made of polished or powder-coated cast aluminium.

Glides: plastic glides for soft floors or felt glides for hard floors.
