Model: Supercircular Table
The Super-Circular table™, designed by Piet Hein, Bruno Mathsson and Arne Jacobsen, was inspired by designer Piet Hein's solution to a traffic problem at Sergels Torg in Stockholm: a super elliptical roundabout. The ingenious form was conceived in his mathematical mind. This variation of an oval possesses some attractive qualities and looked surprisingly harmonious no matter the size. The formula-based form has no extremes and this is the reason for the Super-elliptical table, it can be understood as a democratic table where everyone has an equal position. Piet Hein, Bruno Mathsson and Arne Jacobsen contributed to the basic design of all the tables, with a wide variety of shapes and sizes. With very few exceptions, the tables are available in 3 finishes: laminate, veneer and linoleum
Finish: White laminated board with aluminium edge, four-pointed star base in satin polished aluminium and a satin chrome steel pedestal.
Measurements: Envelope of 75 x 75 with circular edges, height 47 cm.
