In 1955, Arne Jacobsen set a new standard for chair design when he created the Series 7 ™, a design fit for the future, for eternity, some would say. The 7 ™ Series has reached its 60th anniversary and is still in perfect condition to continue its path to the new generations with the new demands and new standards for design. To celebrate that this chair has sold more than seven million units to date, Fritz Hansen asked Danish artist Tal R for nine new colors for the Series 7 ™. Tal R is known internationally for its deep sense of color, evident by the beautiful colors it has chosen for the new edition of the Series 7 ™. The new colors revitalize the design and see the iconic chair in a new light.

Tal R has created 16 artistic colors, all mixtures and all colors vary with the change of light, space, seasons, and other aspects of the environment. Because a color is not just a color, but a complex and inconstant factor. That is why artistic colors Fritz Hansen preferred to industrial colors, diversity from uniformity and from natural to artificial. The result is a chair that will continue to live, surprise and inspire.

The four-legged stackable chair can be seen as the culmination of the use of the lamination technique. A technique refined to perfection during the twenties and thirties by Søren C. Hansen, the grandson of the founder, Fritz Hansen. Visionary Arne Jacobsen has exploited the possibilities of lamination in the iconic shape of the chair.

The Series 7 designed by Arne Jacobsen is by far the best-selling chair in the history of Fritz Hansen, and perhaps in the history of furniture as well. It is a development of the classic Ant ™ chair.

Material: Seat and backrest in laminated ash wood cut with a knife and stained in different colors. 4-leg base in tubular steel in 7 finishes. Stackable.
