Chair designed by Ramón Bigas for Santa&Cole.
Ramón Bigas, 1975
Ramón Chair.
Lightweight and stackable chair, for good use indoors and outdoors, consisting of a white metal structure with seat and backrest braided in natural or white pith. The backrest, first straight but finally curved, is ergonomic and supports the spine gently protecting the kidneys, allowing you to sit comfortably for hours. Under the seat, the metal rod traces an X in the air that might seem like a formal whim of the design but that becomes fully useful by structurally cushioning the weight of the user. Stackable. For indoor and outdoor use.
Founder of the Associate Designers studio in Barcelona, president of the FAD, Ramón Bigas is an exponent of the second generation of designers in Barcelona, intuitive and festive but serious and pragmatic at the same time. And its chair, a great synthesis of virtues for indoor or outdoor.
Materials: White metal structure. Seat and backrest in hand-woven synthetic pith finished in natural or white color.
