




Alessandro Most Illustrious is the recognition that the designer Elena Salmistraro gives to the multifaceted postmodernist Alessandro Medini and his important legacy in Italian design.
Most Illustrious is a collection of decorative figures made of ceramic by the firm Bosa.
Alessandro Mendini (1931-2019) was a revolutionary Milanese architect who influenced such important movements as postmodernism and the new ways of perceiving design in the 1970s. His legacy has been marked by multiple disciplines that cover both the theoretical level (Studio Alchimia or the Atelier Mendini) and having transferred the ironic and playful language to the design of objects and furniture, which in addition to being functional were fun.
Elena Salmistraro wanted to express her admiration for the multifaceted Mendini, by creating a nice figure in ceramic Bosa, Alessandro Most Illustrious, in which she pays tribute to his magnificent contribution to Italian design.
