Credenza CH825.
To celebrate Hans J. Wegner's 100th birthday, Carl Hansen & Son is relaunching this Credenza designed in 1958. Advanced construction and sophisticated design have culminated in an exclusive credenza that has been a highly coveted item at auction to date.
The CH825 was originally part of a series of three sideboards, released in 1959 based on Wegner's original drawings. Although it looks simple, it has an advanced design of shutter doors, requiring double sides and back panel to hide the shutters that run over a guide that disappears when opened. Knud Erik Hansen, CEO of Carl Hansen & Son, comments: "We wanted to celebrate Wegner's 100th birthday in style and observe his approach to craftsmanship."
The credenza was originally made of rosewood and teak wood, being replaced today by walnut and oak. The structure has been updated and made in 2 cm on the front and back edges to allow the credenza to be placed flush against the walls with plinth. The legs are made of solid turned oak wood, walnut or curved steel. The various variants allow the credenza to match a wide range of interior styles and their surroundings.
The credenza offers an ideal surface for placing your favourite items, while other items can be stored behind the stylish shutter doors. The interior features adjustable shelves and pull-out drawers designed to allow for easy installation of additional drawers.
Material: oak or walnut wood veneer. Its interior shelves and pull-out drawers are made of oak. The legs are made of solid turned oak or walnut wood or curved stainless steel.
Measurements: Length 200 x depth 49 x height 80.8 cm.
