The "62 Dresser" sideboard or dresser with 6 drawers of Gubi is ideal for adding a decorative and refined touch to bedrooms and living rooms.
Made of American walnut wood and a glossy black laminated top, it is very elegant. It presents a classic aesthetic, but blends perfectly in more contemporary environments providing class and originality, as its large volume body contrasts with black metal legs with a light appearance and finished in a very special way, with solid wood balls.
Gubi produces the "62 Dresser" collection of furniture, sideboards and dressers, original design from 1952 by Greta M. Grossman. The collection receives this name because at the time of its creation it was considered that the result was typical of future years, which is why it is attributed 10 years in advance, hence it refers to the year 62.
All "62" furniture reflects a very similar aesthetic, combining one of Grossman's most characteristic features, the use of different materials for the parts that make up the furniture.
The sideboard surprises with very slender and light black metal legs finished in the shape of a solid wood ball that contrast with the large central volume of the sideboard that consists of 6 drawers, all made of American walnut wood with a matte semi-varnish and a black laminate top with a glossy finish.
The choice of these materials gives off a sophisticated and very elegant image, only suitable for the most refined tastes. 62 Dresser is a very classy piece of furniture.
Grossman was greatly influenced by European modernism, which had been imported to the United States by influential architects, such as Walter Gropius (founder of the Bauhaus) and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Grossman, in turn, played an important role in defining the aesthetics of mid-twentieth-century Californian Modernism.
Today, Grossman's product designs are highly sought after by collectors and are sold at auctions around the world. Grossman's products are unique and modern classic designs.
