The PK15 chair by Fritz Hansen is the result of designer Poul Kjærholm's ambition to build a chair with curved arms in the early 1960s. After the development of the idea, in 1979 the PK15 chair was launched, characterized by the curved shape of the backrest and arms that extends towards the front legs. Its beautiful curved ash wood structure together with its rattan seat make this chair a warm and classic seat that leaves no one indifferent.
Poul Kjærholm's dedication and perseverance to create a chair with bentwood arms resulted in the beautiful and delicate image of the PK15 chair. This seat is a clear example of work, experimentation and the development of ideas and materials. PK15 is composed of a curved ash wood structure that creates a backrest and arms that are joined to the legs of the chair and by an elegant rattan seat.
