Binary Stool - BD Barcelona

The Binaria stool is one of the most unique pieces of recent years. It was created from the collaboration of a doctor, Jordi Badía, and the industrial designer Otto Canalda.

It is not a simple stool, it is a seat with a medical prescription. It is especially recommended for all activities that are carried out in a sitting position but require mobility, there are many in the workplace, from the dentist to the supermarket cashier.

The seat shapes, which are patented, guarantee the healthiest position of the back compared to the legs. Exactly 135º. They have been developed from a meticulous anthropometric study and are characterized by their central opening, which invites the legs to be separated and naturally achieves the stability of the coxofemoral joint.

Binaria is a chair that feels good. He has had time to prove it. It was born in 2003 within the catalog of the company Oken, which no longer exists. BD Barcelona Design now incorporates it into its own with three classic finishes, white, black and red.

Finishes: Steel structure and handle, painted with satin polyester powder paint. White RAL 1013, Red RAL 3002 and Black RAL 9005. Seat injected in integral polyurethane. Gas piston adjustable in height (200mm.). Wheels in reinforced polyamide with gray rubber band.
